Bravery

Erin and Brooke totally shocked me today by both sitting with the Easter Bunny for a photo at the mall. Brooke wouldn't sit directly next to him but, she sat next to Erin on the same chair as the bunny, so that was really amazing to me!

Then after dress shopping we passed the ear peircing booth. I joked and said "want to get you ears pierced?". I didn't even know she was really listening. So, when we passed by it again Erin ran over to get them done. I swear I was more nervous than she was. In usual Erin fashion, she told the piercing lady her life story. How her friend Mollie has pink ones and her sister Brooke has sparkly ones... I bet she went quick to move us along!haha! Well, she sat in the chair and did great! The two woman did both ears at once but, of course the younger girl slipped or something and misfired the ear gun. It stabbed the wrong part of the ear. Not all the way through, just a little bit. The older woman had to get a new earring and do it all over. Poor Erin was crying at this point but, there was no turning back. One was already done. She sat there so brave and finished. All I had to do was promise a pair of new Easter shoes.haha!
