Erin was in a fashion show for her Daisy Girl Scout Troop. Their theme was princesses so Erin wanted to wear her Snow White Halloween costume. They were all so cute and it was Erin's first time on a stage. She really liked it and said she wasn't nervous at all. Maybe some day she'll have Tyra's job???

She got her "Fashion Show" patch for her smock.

Getting to Know You, Xmas Version

Getting to know you...
Welcome to the Christmas Edition of Getting To Know Your Family and Friends...you know the drill. Get to bloggin'.

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? both

2. Real tree or Artificial? I love the real deal but have switched to a prelit fake one and love it! No mess and no watering!

3. When do you put up the tree? Any time after Thanksgiving.

4. When do you take the tree down? Honestly, Christmas night or the next day for sure. I always wonder if I am mentally damaging my kids beause I do that. I just think it looks so bare with no gifts under it and hate the clutter.

5. Do you like eggnog? No, not even sure if I ever even tried it though.

6. Favorite gift received as a child? My dollhouse, FOR SURE!

7. Hardest person to buy for? Ma and Dad, always happy to go in on a group gift. They have everything.

8. Easiest person to buy for? my kids

9. Do you have a nativity scene? yes, I think one Ma gave me.

10. Mail or email Christmas cards? mail, I dread doing them. Sorry:(

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Never really got a bad gift.

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? I started in October this year. I still have a lot to do though.

16. Lights on the tree? I prefer white but Billy & kids like colored. I think we bought a pre-lit white light tree. I guess I won.haha!

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? We had a really cheap ugly angel for years, I honestly can't remember if we still use it. I guess I'll find out when I pull out all my decorations...

21. Presents on Christmas Eve or morning? one gift (pj's) for the kids on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas morning

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? shopping, I hate it!

23. Favorite Ornament theme or color? I love ones that you know who gave you them and why, ones w/ meaning behind them

24. Favorite for Christmas dinner? Turkey and all the fixings.

Halloween 2008

What a fun night!

Colin Update

A lot of people have been asking me how Colin was doing so I thought I would update everyone here. He is doing great. He's in way less pain, he doesn't even need to take pain medication anymore unless he has done more than he should. He is back in school for two- three classes a day. He hates his wheelchair so much but I still think he needs it for school. He never uses it in the house anymore, he uses his crutches and can get around without help.
Here are some pictures of him and Brooke. She loves having him home to hang out with. I on the other hand am ready for life to get back to normal.

Kids Say The Funniest Things

We were asking Brooke the usual 2 year old questions like
"What does a cow say?" moo
"What does a dog say?" woof woof...
Then we asked her what does Daddy say and her response was "son of a bitch".
After we cracked up we asked her "What does Mommy do?" She said "clean the clothes and my butt, just kidding".
Fricking kids!

Playoffs

Colin's team made the playoffs and are now going to the state championship. Obviously he can't play anymore this season but he was able to get to the game and act as the Captain and go out to the middle of the field and start the game in his wheelchair. If you look real close you can see him being pushed by his friend Adam.




Brendans' team went to the Mighty Mites Super Bowl and they came in 5th place. Brendan played like a madman and had his best game yet!
If I have my choice, flag football next year...
