Happy Belated Birthday Reed!

We love you so much!
Sorry so late, I haven't been blogging lately.

First Big Snow Storm of The Season

Twenty minutes later both girls were screaming and crying from the cold and snow in their boots. Erin actually somehow lost a boot and sock and stood there screaming. That's why we call them the two Divas.

Christmas Cookies

A New Look

A short bob for Erin. All her friends were getting short hair cuts so she wanted hers done too. Typical girl, she's already talking about having it long again.
I should have given her a haircut like the one she gave Brooke on Thanksgiving at Nana's. haha!

CocoNUT

Here's some pictures of our new kitten Coconut. Erin named him and somehow it suits him. He gets along so well with the dogs and I'm shocked at how much I like him.

The New Addition

Well, maybe you've heard, we have a new kitten. I was foolish enough to think that we could have him stay here until Auntie Katie found him a home without the kids getting attached. I was wrong. They already love him. You should see Brooke, she says he is her friend:) I'm still on the fence about actually owning a cat. He is cute. We still don't have a name for him yet. Brooke was calling him Gary and I like Baby. Billy refuses to have a male cat named Baby though. I think Lucky would be fitting since he'll be lucky to stay here. Or maybe Chance because there's a chance I could not like him. haha! I'll let you know what name we decide on and post some pics tonight.

Funny Story

Brooke and I did a quick trip to the new Christmas Tree Shops yesterday to pick up some last minute stuff. Anyway, we were walking by this old guy singing Christmas songs pretty loud. I thought it was pretty cute until we just got past his path and oh my God, he must have farted and it was so gross! Like someone bottled and sprayed the nastiest fart in a can and released it just as we walked by. I was trying to hold my breath and go as fast as I could when Brooke says "Mom, it smells like dog shit in here!". Clear as day and pretty loud, too. I had to laugh because it was perfect timing.
Another proud moment:)

Getting To Know You Xmas Edition Part II

Welcome to the 2nd Edition of Getting To Know Your Family and Friends, Christmas Style. You know the drill.
Get crack-a-lackin'!

1. Do you put up outdoor Christmas decorations? Yes, but way more inside.

2. Do you have a favorite Christmas cookie? I love the store bought cheap bag of cookies but I guess I just love the usual ones that Ma makes.

3. What is the best gift you ever gave someone? I bought and hid and surprised Billy with a brown leather recliner a few years ago. I figured he would have found out and spoiled it but the kids and I pulled it off and he was surprised and still loves that chair to this day. He's actually sitting in it as I type.

4. Do you like fruitcake? never really had it

5. What is your least favorite Christmas song? I HATE Feliz Navidad, it's just soooo annoying!

6. Do you go to church on Christmas Eve/Christmas Day? a guilty neither...I'm still waiting for that calling, but nothing yet. Someday I hope.

7. Do you hang Christmas stockings? Where? I hang them on the mantle and then after Santa fills them he puts them on the kids piles Xmas morning.

8. Do you truly believe "it's the most wonderful time of the year"? It is a nice time of year but as I get older I like the cold weather less and less.

9. Have you ever worn a Santa hat? no, I'm not a hat person at all.

10. Are you more like Scrooge or Father Christmas? Uhm, in between.

11. Do you hang mistletoe? no I should get some

12. Does Santa wrap presents or just place them under your tree? some wrapped, some displayed w/ no wrap. There was nothing better as a kid than running down on xmas morning and seeing a new doll in her carriage...I wouldn't wrap that. Those are the memories, baby!

13. Can you ice skate? I think i still could but would probably be so sore the next day.

14. Do you love snow? I love it as it's coming down and then it's just annoying. I think I belong somewhere warm.

15. Which do you prefer--giving or receiving? giving

16. Candy Canes--yuck or yum? Regular ones maybe one. I do like the new Jolly Rancher kind though.

17. The 3 best things about Christmas? the smell of Christmas (if anyone knows what I mean), family & friends getting together surrounded by xmas decor, xmas spirit~everyone is just happier

18. What type of decoration should stop being made? Tinsle. I don't buy it anymore. It's so messy.

19. Do you listen to 24/7 holiday radio? No. Christmas day maybe. Billy on the other hand listens to Bing Crosby in July.

20. Rudolph or Frosty? Rudolph.

Everyone is tagged, get going!

Colin Update

Colin had his check up for his pelvis today and good news he is healing great. Three weeks more with one crutch and then three weeks with a cane. (He'll be pimpin'in style!haha!)
I can't believe how long it takes to really heal a pelvis. I thought today he would have said it was fixed and he would be off of the crutches completely. Colin is surprisingly ok with it all and pretty much listening to doctors orders, at least while we're looking anyway. His motivation is that the doctor said he should be ready for AAU basktball in late April.
So six more weeks. It should fly by.

Girls/Kids Weekend 08

I missed most of it because I was working but we still made it up and almost pulled an all-nighter. Good times baby, good times!

Getting Ready for Christmas!

Billy and the boys chopping wood. What men!haha!
